Ogun State College of Health Technology is a training college for health care in Ilese-Ijebu, Ogun state, Nigeria. It was the first state college established in Ogun State. As well as providing health technology training and certification, it is a major factor in both increasing the population and enhancing the status of Ilese, a town on the outskirts of Ijebu Ode. The college was established on 28 September 1976 as a school under a department in the Ministry of Health during the military administration of Saidu Balogun.
Being the first tertiary institution in the state, its general importance to the overall primary healthcare delivery in the state, as well as being the single largest producer of primary health care workers accounting for over ninety percent (90%) of the total health manpower needs of the twenty local governments in the state. COURSE DURATION: 2 Years
REQUIREMENT: Five (5) ‘O’ Level Credit Passes at by WAEC or NECO in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics in not more than two (2) sittings.
HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA (HND) in Environmental Health Technology
COURSE DURATION: 2 Years
REQUIREMENT: Holders of National Diploma (ND) in Environmental Health Technology with at least Lower Credit. In addition to the five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes at WAEC or NECO in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH TECHNICIAN
COURSE DURATION: 3 Years
REQUIREMENT: Three (3) ‘O’ Level Credit passes including English Language, Biology and Chemistry at WAEC or NECO.
National Diploma (ND) in Water and Sanitation Technology
COURSE DURATION: 2 Years
REQUIREMENT: Five (5) ‘O’ Level Credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Geography and one relevant subject at WAEC or NECO.
HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA (HND) IN COMMUNITY HEALTH (CHEW)
COURSE DURATION: 2 Years
REQUIREMENT: Holders of National Diploma (ND) in Community Health with at least Lower Credit from OSCOHTECH Ilese-Ijebu. In addition to five (5) ‘O’ Level Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics in not more than two (2) sittings
