Online Nursing Programs and Schools In Nigeria

Nurses provide and monitor patient care, educate patients and family members about health conditions, provide medications and treatments, give emotional support and advice to patients and their family members, and more. They also work with healthy people by providing preventative health care and wellness information.

There are many programs that allow nursing students to earn an associate’s, bachelor’s, or master’s degree online, though not entirely. Because nursing is a hands-on profession, you’ll still need to gain experience that’ll prepare you to work directly with patients in the field. So, while the majority of your classroom coursework can be taken online, you’ll need to at least complete in-person clinical hours at an approved location.

These are known as hybrid programs. An exception might be if you already have an associate’s degree, a current RN license, and a certain number of clinical hours under your belt. There are now 3 options available for those who intend to become Nurses in Nigeria. The first option is to undertake a five-year course in Nursing at any University offering the course in Nigeria. The second option is to enroll in a nursing program in a public or private school of nursing and midwifery which takes about 3 years to complete and become a certified Nurse in Nigeria and the final option is to register for an accredited online nursing program in Nigeria. The available online nursing programs in Nigeria are:
