How to make Sela health tea

Put fresh water into a kettle. If you’re just making a cup of tea, pour about 1 1/2 times as much water as you need to fill the cup. For the best-tasting tea, use water that hasn’t been boiled before.

Heat the water according to your tea type. Since the water that’s too hot can damage delicate tea, it’s important to heat the water based on what kind of tea you’re making.

White teas: 165 °F (74 °C) or once the water becomes hot to the touch

Green teas: 170 to 185 °F (77 to 85 °C) or just when steam begins to come out of the spout

Black teas: 205 °F (96 °C) or after cooling boiling water for 1 minute

Before you put the tea bag in the cup, give it a gentle shake. This will loosen any compacted tea, allowing the water to flow freely through the tea leaves. Add 1 teabag to a cup of freshly boiled water. Steep your tea bag in hot water for 5 to 10 minutes to allow the tea to release its full potential.

Drink whilst warm. For best results drink 2 teabags daily.

Can I put sugar in Sela tea?

No, you should not add sugar to your Sela tea. Studies indicate added sugar lead to a greater accumulation of fat over time , which may turn into fatty liver disease, a contributor to diabetes, which raises your risk for heart disease. Consuming too much added sugar can raise blood pressure and increase chronic inflammation, both of which are pathological pathways to heart disease.
